In the office parking lot this morning: red, white and blue cars parked in a row. None of which are American cars.

Depending on the year of the outback it could have been built in indiana, and the accord coupe is built here I think. The German was built in Mexico...so thats a least a little better than Germany.

It's a 97-99. When did they start producing them in Indiana?

99, probably for the 2000 model year. Hows Utah? got here just it time for wacky fall weather.

That's my Outback. It's a '98. Now that I think about it, I do seem to recall "Made in Indiana" stickers on the glass. I'll have to take another look at the door sill sticker I guess.

Wikipedia has been known to be wrong (shock!) I'll bet it was an Indiana outback. (Thanks Chicken Tax!)

If it's too soon 68 years afterwards, then it will always be too soon.

Great! It was such a nice drive coming in from rifle up to meeker and dinosaur. I only got lost once, no GPS and just a shitty 50 state map that wasn't detailed. Couldn't even tell you where I was, I took a wrong turn in Roosevelt and was heading North up in to the mountains. I'm excited though, I have my meeting, Job interview? I think I already have the job they just want to meet in person. And then it's off to hopefully find a place so I'm not crashing on my brothers floor for too long

It's "official" VW color designation is Shark Blue.
The guy who owns it is a pretty cool guy. The Golf is a stick shift. He's let me drive it to satisfy my curiosity. It's a heck of a fun car to drive.

Job? what kind of work?

Maintenance at a hotel in PC. I applied for front desk but maintenance gets more pay and overtime. Plus, there is an opportunity for me to do design work for them on the side.

Check with Snowbird, they are looking for housekeeping and you get a pass.
